Preparation time: 5 minutes

Mag dal (green gram dal) – 1 cup
Sugar – 1 cup
Ghee (clarified butter) – 1 cup
Water – 1.5 cup
Milk – 1.5 cup
Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
Cashew-almond (shredded) – 1 tbsp
Grind the 1 cup mag dal (green gram dal) coarsely. (you can soak the dal for 4-5 hours and then grind into a coarse paste and cook it as well)
In a pan heat 1 cup ghee and moong dal .Saute it until it becomes nice golden brown. Boil 1.5 cup of water and 1.5 cup of milk together.
Add 1 cup sugar, cardamom powder and stir it all very well. Cook till the ghee gets separated from the halwa.
Garnish it with shredded cashew and almond.
And Moong Dal Halwa/Magni dalno shiro is ready to be served! 🙂
