Coriander Mint Chutney is the most basic Indian dip / sauce recipe. It can be enjoyed with a variety of dishes such as cutlets, sandwich, vada pav, idli, dosa and many more.
Preparing time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 2 minutes
Coriander leaves (washed and roughly chopped) – 3 cups
Ground nuts – 1/2 cup
Mint leaves – 1 cup
Green chillies (roughly chopped) – 2 to 3
Garlic clove – 4 to 5
Lemon juice – 1 tbsp (half lemon juice)
Salt – 2 tsp
Sugar – 2 tsp
Water as required
In a mixing jar add 3 cups of coriander leaves, 1 cup mint leaves and 1/2 cup ground nuts.
Add garlic, chilies, ginger, salt,sugar and lemon. Add water gradually and grind it in a smooth paste.
You can add more chillies if you like bit spicy. It can be stored in refrigerator for a week. You can also store it in freezer by keeping it in small airtight container.
