Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 30 minutes
Oil – 2 tbsp
Capsicum – 1 big (cut lengthwise)
Onion – 1 big or 2 medium (cut lengthwise)
Maggi noodles – 2 packet
Water – 1.5 cups
Tomato sauce- 3 tbsp
Garlic-ginger-green chilli paste – 1 tbsp
Chaat masala – 1 tsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Cabbage – 1 cup (shredded)
Plain flour paste – 2 tbsp plain flour + 2 tbsp water
To make the filling:
Heat 2 tbsp. oil. Saute capsicum and onions for 2-3 minutes.
Add 2 packet Maggi noodles. Add 1.5 cups water and let the mixture boil.
Add 2 packet maggi masala , 1 tbsp garlic-ginger-green chilli paste, 1 tsp chaat masala, 3 tbsp tomato ketchup.Mix well.
Add 1 cup shredded cabbage . 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp salt. Mix well.
Turn off the heat and keep the filling aside to cool down.
To make the rolls:
Take one spring roll sheet. Spread the noodles mixture over the sheets. Make tight rolls covering up the filling completely. Fix the edges of the rolls with plain flour paste.
( I used ready-made spring roll sheets but you can make them at home- 1 cup all purpose flour, 2 tsp oil, 1/2 tsp salt. Mix everything and make a stiff dough with water. Roll very thin rotis.)
Deep fry the rolls. Cut the rolls in pieces once they cool down a bit.
Serve with any kind of sauce or green chutney. And all time favorite starter is ready! 🙂
