Sabudana Khichdi

 

Ingredients:

Sabudana (sago) – 1.5 cup
Water – 2 cup
Oil – 1.5 tbsp
Green Chilies – 2 (crushed)
Sesame seeds ( til) – 1 tbs
Cumin seeds ( jeera) – 1 tsp
Curry leaves ( limdo) – 6 to 7
Potato – 1 medium (chopped in small pieces)
Sugar – 1 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Lemon Juice – ½ tbsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Coriander leaves – ¼ cup (chopped)

Method:

Wash and soak the sabudana in water for at least for 7 hours/overnight. (you can drain out excess water if needed)

Put oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds, curry leaves, sesame seeds. Add crushed green chilies and chopped potato. Cook it for 5 minutes.

Once potatoes become soft, add salt, sugar and turmeric powder. Let it cook for 2 minutes. Add sabudana, lemon juice and coriander leaves. Mix it very well and cook it for 2-3 minutes.
