Tuver lilva kachori



Tuver lilva – 500 gm(i used frozen as fresh tuver is not available here)
Oil – 6 tbsp
Crushed green chilies – 3 tbsp
Ginger paste -2 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp
Lemon juice – 2 tsp
Sugar – 2 tbsp
Hing (asafoetida) – 1/4 tsp
Tal (sesame seeds) – 4 tbsp

For outer layer:
Mendo (all purpose flour) – 2 cup
Oil -2 tbsp
Salt – 1 tsp


crush the lilva tuver dana in any mixer. I used manual desi crusher. Take oil in a pan. Once it becomes hot. Add hing, sesame seeds, ginger and chili paste.

Cook them and add crushed tuver lilva. Add salt,sugar, fresh lemon juice. Adjust taste accordingly. Cook it for 10 minutes on medium flame. And you are done.

For outer layer: add salt, oil and water in maida and prepare normal puri dough.

Divide filling and make small lemon size ball out of it. And make that number of puris. Heat up the oil. Start filling the kachoris and fry them until they become golden brown.(sorry i don’t have photos to show this process.will upload it soon)

And serve with green chutney.!
