Saatpadi Puri



Maida/ All purpose flour- 250gm or 4 cups

Ghee/ Clarified Butter – ½ cup

Black pepper powder – 1 tbsp

salt- 2 tsp

sugar – 2 tbsp

cumin seeds (jeera) – 1 tbsp


For paste:  Maida – 2tbsp + Ghee – 2tbsp


Mix ghee, black pepper powder, salt, sugar, cumin seeds in maida and prepare a stiff dough with water. Roll a big thin Roti.


Prepare a paste of ghee and maida and apply it on roti before rolling it (It will help to distinguish between each layers). Prepare a roll. Cut it in small equal parts and roll it thin puris. Fry it on medium-high flame until it becomes golden brown.Serve it. Store it in airtight container.
